  • be guided step by step

  • learn valuable skills and knowledge

  • pick up handy tips

Materials:

  • drawing paper

  • graphite pencil

  • eraser

Notes:

REMEMBER – this information is general in nature. Every face is different.

These are my tips, to be used as as a guideline for creating this particular work, in conjunction with the video. Pause the video after each step and then complete that stage at your own pace. You can always go back to gain clarification on a particular aspect of the process:

  • always draw as lightly as you can when making your first lines

  • try not to 'strangle' your pencil - ie: don't grip it too lightly

  • as much as possible, try not to think about how you have drawn faces in the past

  • follow the steps closely, but remember that this information is a general guide only, and only applies if a face if viewed directly from the front or side (profile)
