About the Classes

Whether you’d like to improve your drawing skills, gain handy hints with your painting or start from scratch, these classes are fun, friendly and catered to suit.

Class Structure

Classes are two hours in length, and operate on a continuous basis - with no fixed terms. Students pay as they come.

What to expect

Students generally work on their individual choice of projects, at their own pace in a friendly, relaxed and inspiring environment. Choose the medium you’d prefer or explore a variety until you find the one that’s right for you. Jules is on hand to offer advice and technical knowledge.

The first lesson of each month focuses on an optional drawing class - Jules will have a drawing exercise ready for you which you are encouraged to do.

Casual Classes

Around 65 students come through the studio each week. Classes are usually full (6-8 people per class), though regular students are sometimes away. Anyone wishing to fill a 'casual' spot can simply contact Jules to see where a vacancy might exist. Use the enquiry form if this is of interest.

The Rules

The only rule... when it's your birthday, you bring the cake!

Occasional Workshops

Once a month or so Jules will hold a one-day or weekend workshop addressing a particular media or project. These are a fantastic way to learn new skills or explore new media in a fun and inspiring atmosphere. As a special bonus the workshops almost always include a yummy home-cooked lunch from the House of Jules kitchen as well as the materials used in the workshop… great value!

Coming workshops can be found here.
